Property Management
The residential letting market in Cambridge has continued to flourish.
The demand for rental property has remained strong. Most well presented
properties, where a tenant has wanted to remain in occupation, have
experienced annual rent rises in excess of inflation. However, landlords
need to consider that the quality (and number) of tenants
will often be as important a factor as the level of rent.
Fortunately, supply is being fuelled by existing landlords buying
additional property to let. New landlords are also been created when
property owners move abroad. This situation is more common in
Cambridge than in other parts of the country because of the mobile
workforce. However, the future may see supply fall-off a little
as property owners, moving away, no longer need to let due to the
buoyant selling market.
