Shortage of quality houses has driven prices to new levels

Nick Redmayne reports that the residential property market during the Autumn and early Winter has remained extremely buoyant with a shortage of properties to purchase in all price ranges.

The Victorian/ Edwardian Cambridge city house market, as well as period village houses, has remained the strongest with a number of very high prices being achieved.

Although the market has now slowed for Christmas and New Year, there are no signs the market will significantly change next year. However we do not expect the recent high level of price increases to continue but with the increased level of business start ups and existing businesses relocating to Cambridge, demand will continue to outstrip supply.
