Will new Office Developments surrounding the City tilt the balance in the occupiers favour?

New buildings at Ely attracting Cambridge based companies

Historic and restricted City planning policies together with a lack of office supply in the City Centre over the last two years, has created increased pressure on the Cambridge office market. However, the recent influx of new Business Park developments taking place both on and beyond the City boundaries, may well be tipping the balance in the occupiers favour.

Developers now actively compete to court new occupiers and whilst there still remains a long list of unfulfilled occupier requirements, the future abundance of space creates the element of choice which has been missing in recent years.
